मिसरबानीCloth first

Cloth first, then the outfit.

Handloom mulmul, chanderi and kota doria, cut for wear on an ordinary Tuesday. We publish the weave, the weight and every measurement.

The weaves

Mulmul
Four-count cotton, soft from the first wash and softer after twenty. Block printed at Bagru in natural indigo and madder.
Shop mulmul
Chanderi
Silk-cotton from Madhya Pradesh, woven with a fine gold check. Holds a drape without stiffness.
Shop chanderi
Kota doria
The square khat weave from Kaithoon. Almost weightless, and opaque enough for work.
Shop kota doria
Tussar
Wild silk with a slub you can feel. Warmer in tone than mulberry silk, and less formal.
Shop tussar
Organza
Sheer, crisp and structural. We use it for dupattas with a zari border, not for full garments.
Shop organza
Silk-cotton
The compromise that is not a compromise - silk for the fall, cotton for the summer.
Shop silk-cotton
Georgette
Fluid and forgiving, cut for anarkalis that move.
